I read the FAQ on the HoMs but it didn't seem to answer this question.

If I acquire a Tormented and an Oppressor weapon, can I fill the remaining slots with Destroyer weapons?

I would need 13 more to finish the 15, and it only lists 11 off to the side. There are multiple shields, bows, staves, and wands, does each one count, or do you only get credit for a single shield, bow, staff, and wand?

first question, yes, you only need to get 11 weapons, you can mix and match among the tormented, oppressor and destroyer (and I also think I remember you can get the same weapon from each and have it count--my ranger has both a tormented bow and a destroyer bow and I believe they count for her as 2 weapons).
You can NOT, however, get say an ele staff destroyer and a necro staff destroyer and have them both count as they are both destroyer staves.

Huh? You need 15 items to max out the Valor monument; 11 is just the maximum number of items you can display at a time (which for HoM point purposes means absolutely nothing). If he was to put in as many Destroyer items as he can (11), one oppressor, and one destroyer, he'd be two short.

Every item listed on the right can only count once. 'Destroyer Bow' is a single listing, so if you were to put a Destroyer Shortbow in, you would not be able to put in a Destroyer Longbow, D Flatbow, etc, because they're considered duplicates. However, as there is also 'Oppressor Bow' and 'Tormented Bow', you can put in one of each of those too. Confirming the above quoted statement.

you get 1 point for ANY weapon--this also counts in the next point,
you get 1 point for one of each type, (oppressor, tormented, destroyer) for a total of 3 possible points
you get 1 point for 5 weapons,
you get 2 points for 11 weapons which is a 'full display',
if you are going for 50/50, then yes 15 weapons will get you the last point for 8/8 points in this monument.

your first weapon put in will net you 2 points since it count for one of a type and one of any weapon.
sorry marty I wasnt thinking of 50/50--most people just do enough to get a full display.
